A new mobile lottery app is set to launch in Texas on July 24, according to a Texas Department of Revenue report.
The lottery app, called the Texas Lottery App, will be developed by San Antonio-based developer, Appaloosa.
Appaloosas developers are expected to create the app and sell it through various channels, including through online portals, through mobile apps, or through other media outlets.
Appaloosa will provide the software, which will be used to conduct a lottery in the state.
According to the report, the app will include the following features:* Online-only lottery app for Texas residents* Instant win* Quick-check system for winners* Real-time data from the online database* Online scoring* Instant game results* Online and offline registration* Social sharing and commenting* Online prizes* A mobile app will enable customers to interact with the lottery and win prizes* The app will offer up to 1 million entries per day* The lottery app was designed by Appaloas’ VP of Technology and Operations, J.L. Cusco.
The company will use AppalooSolutions to create an online database for the lottery to keep track of winning tickets and the overall lottery numbers, the report states.
It will also provide the app with real-time stats from the lottery, including the number of winners and total number of tickets sold.
The report also says the app can handle “up to 1.2 million” entries per hour.
The app can also offer up up to $3,500 in cash prizes to those who submit the correct number of entries.
In the meantime, the company has released an Android version of the app.
The company also released a version of its iOS app for the iPhone, Android, and Blackberry devices, which is expected to be available in the coming weeks.
The Texas Lotteries app is currently available for download for free.
The application was announced at the Texas Tech Fair in Dallas on July 8, with the app slated to be made available in select states over the next few weeks.
