Kansas officials on Wednesday said they were unable to identify a new number in the state lottery, but said lottery officials will use the new numbers to keep track of the state’s lottery results.KCUR’s Adam Bowers reports.

Kansas lottery spokeswoman Julie Gorman said Wednesday that officials have yet to see a report on how the new new number works.
The lottery was set to start the new year on Thursday, but the lottery has been closed since the Kansas Department of Insurance revoked the license to operate on Friday.
Kansas officials said in a statement that the lottery is still collecting data and has not had time to review the new data.
