The state lottery has decided to refund $100,000 to a Massachusetts woman who won a $500 lottery ticket after she posted a video of herself playing the popular game, MassLive.com reported.
In a statement on Sunday, the lottery said it would refund $99,000 in the form of a credit to the Massachusetts State Lottery for each of the last two years.
The $500,000 refund is not available for any reason.
The Massachusetts Lottery, which runs the state lottery, has been trying to keep the $1.2 billion in prizes on the books.
But with the prize on the line in January, lottery officials decided to cancel the contest after a series of complaints.
In April, the Lottery of Massachusetts issued an apology and said it was working with the woman to resolve her issue.
