The Tennessee Lottery will have to deal with the unexpected loss of three of its lottery tickets in a week.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating how the lottery lost three of the lottery’s tickets in early Sunday morning.
The three lottery tickets were purchased for $5 each and the winning number is 2,200.
Two of the tickets have been returned to the lottery office.
The lottery has said the three tickets will be offered for sale at a later date.
The bureau said Monday the three lottery ticket losses are the third consecutive time lottery ticket sales have been down due to theft.
The tickets were sold on Sunday morning at 5 p.m. local time.
The winning number was 2,201.
The lottery said it is working with state law enforcement to investigate the incident and determine the cause of the loss.
